DCA average cost calculator
Enter each purchase to see your average cost per coin, how many coins you hold, and your result at today's price.
Calculations run in your browser. Nothing you type is sent or stored. Results are estimates for information only, not investment advice.
How it works
Each purchase buys amount ÷ (1 + fee) ÷ price coins. Average cost = total spent ÷ total coins, so it already includes the buy fees. The result at the current price subtracts the sell fee.
Questions
Is dollar-cost averaging safer?
It spreads your entry over time, which reduces the risk of buying everything at one bad moment. It does not stop losses if the price keeps falling.
Should the average use the price or the amount?
The amount. Buying the same money each time buys more coins when the price is low, so the average cost is below the simple average of the prices.
